Felix Z. Hoffmann

Research assistant in the group of Jochen Triesch at the Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies. Also part of the IMPRS for Neural Circuits. I studied physics and mathematics at University Freiburg.

I study theoretical and computational models of local cortical circuits. I'm specifically interested in non-random connectivity structures that emerge in these networks. A published article on this topic can be found here.

Open Science

I was a 2017 Wikimedia Open Science Fellow and updated on my progress on GitHub. Before that I worked on a Google Summer of Code project implementing data-centric views to Sumatra. I gave a short talk at OpenCon on how tools like Sumatra can help promote Open Data.
